Gisèle Boulianne
After 20 years teaching drawing and painting, Gisèle
Boulianne achieved a bachelor in visual art with the goal
of utilizing those years to explore new techniques and to
deepen her knowledge in various aspects of art. In 2006, freshly
out of Laval University, and having been selected by the public
for the second place of people’s choice award, she is
fully loaded with creativity. In a contemporary spirit, her
colorful style reflects her own inner intensity in representing
modern urban life.
Her pictorial work includes photography and collage along
with various painting techniques to create dynamic compositions
of lines and shapes coming all together with strong energy.
The audacity and determination of movement seen on the canvas
recalls a theatrical act of a dream. In 2005, Gisèle
gets the jury selection honor at the FIMA, Montreal International
Festival. In 2008, she is invited at the International Art
Festival in Monastir, Tunisia. She has won the first prize
of excellence given by the Tunisian governor. And recently,
she participated at the National Art Salon at the Carrousel
du Louvre in Paris.
