Antonio Iannicelli
Antonio Iannicelli was born in Naples in 1952 but now lives
and works in Castelvolturno, a little way to the North. As a
boy he showed artistic talent which he developed taking his
surroundings, the sea and people of Naples, as his inspiration.
He excels in painting coastal landscapes. He looks
for the unusual aspect and then paints it with expressive immediateness.
His paintings have clarity but with a touch of impressionism
and well relect the mood, warmth and scenery of this beautiful
area and particularly the Amalfi coast.
He has staged about twenty exhibitions in Italy
and abroad also taking part in national Art exhibitions. He
has won numerous awards and prizes and his works are found in
public and private collections.
